Are you ready to go down the rabbit hole? To visit a surreal world, where black is white and white is carrots?

A friend, Metacognician in Shanghai, describes the situation as follows: “Life is more absurd than movies. I've gone down the rabbit hole too, when it just becomes more and more strange and you wonder how that all is supposed to make sense.” I asked him if I should just embrace it. He answered, “Why should you ... change the universe?”

It started with a psychotic named Jim Kiraly who resides, we think, at 6329 Twinberry Circle, Avila Beach, California.

Jim Kiraly is a respected citizen. A churchgoer. A Vice President of Transamerica Corporation. And a violent abuser who tried to use an emergency anti-violence measure, one intended to protect battered women, to stop his victim in a wheelchair from writing a book.

Concise enough? :)

For attorneys: Jim Kiraly filed for CLETS against his son and victim, who lived 200 miles away, did not own a car, and was in a wheelchair. His son and victim was not asked to end communications. Jim had no (zero) specific and relevant allegations that were not perjury. But he turned down repeated offers of no-contact and a signed stipulation that gave him everything but CLETS. He insisted on CLETS if his victim ever once “discussed” him with third parties.

In the end, Jim Kiraly signed an agreement far weaker than the ones he'd been offered.

A review of Court paperwork and other materials will tend to confirm that Jim and other parties, including attorneys on all sides, committed multiple felonies, crimes, and faux pas. :P

The word “abuser” is stated here publicly and without equivocation. A formal offer is hereby made to reaffirm the word in writing and under oath. Attorneys will understand the significance of the point. In short, there is little terror of a threatened defamation suit on this side. Actually, we feel that such a suit will fit nicely up Jim Kiraly's abuser ass.

Jim has one son, Ken Kiraly, who invented the Amazon Kindle and is one of the leads at Amazon's secret Lab126. Another son, Tom Kiraly is one of the leads, a Vice President-CFO type, at medical insurance firms, including one of the largest, Humana Corporation.

These people and some of the biggest names in Silicon Valley legal circles have committed or are involved in multiple crimes.

For the next decade or two, we're going to explore the crimes that these people committed, the motivations and the denial involved, the background and histories that led each person to make the choices that they did, and ways to build upon what happened and move towards positive societal goals.

There's plenty to go over. These people committed or were involved in: Spousal abuse, child abuse, DDOS (a highly prosecutable violation of CFAA), extortion, perjury, conspiracy to commit perjury (a possible felony), false police reports, conspiracy to file false police reports (a possible felony), unlawful threats, barratry, defamation, malpractice, civil harassment, criminal harassment, abuse of process, and violations of SCCBA Professional Standards.

The point was to force Jim's oldest son and victim, me, to sign a gag order. I was in a wheelchair. I'd never made a single inappropriate threat against my abuser. I wasn't even asked to not to call anybody. But Jim threatened to put me in a violence database unless I agreed never to write about him.

I won the right to write, but I lost my home of 25 years, most of my possessions, my chances for retirement, everything. Everything but a realization.

I can make a difference. I can conduct research for legitimate and reasonable purposes, document what happened, and analyze the choices of the people involved:

Maggie told me that she didn't know what she could say to me about what happened. However, we have decades to work it out. It will be productive. I'd like to direct the attention of attorneys and other parties to the:

Legitimate and Reasonable Purposes List

130714 Sunday — Status Report

A full Kiraly Cases tags system will be added in 2013.

130714. My online presence will be reduced until August, 2013. There are IRL things I got to deal with. But I can't imagine leaving online.

Friends that are my Family
Me they tried to kill
Sanctimonius REDACTED are probing for
Weaknesses and attack vectors still

Say, can anybody tell
Not where my Father and Mother belong
The place known as Hell
But of Criminal Conspiracy sing a song?

Criminal Conspiracy you see
Is how the Kiralys may go down
There comes a point
Where the Law starts to frown

Online people don't smash my life, lie under oath, or take all that I have. Instead, they tell me that I have a “reputation” for being helpful. It's an exaggeration. If somebody needs help, they give a yelp. I'm generally useless. However, by and by, I do try to fix things.

And IRL people who are Christians, regardless of the Faith that they profess or confess, are helpful to me.

I was exhausted yesterday. Saturday 130713. Stopped by DNA's house to see if his new laptop needed fixing. Instead food his wife RNA was mixing.

DNA is an 82 year old attorney. I believe I've come to love the man. His daughter is a Torts Specialist who is my generation. I've asked the two of them for referrals. Not clear if they know people who can help.

Either way, it does not mattered
Over the years or decades
As Jim and Grace slide into Hades
Where liars tend to burn
They will be surprised to learn
Kiraly Cases will be shattered

RNA and I spoke of a neighborhood cat whose tail had been crushed in a car door. Arrangements were made to seek a vet for this communal pet. DNA told us a story of a horse who had sat on him for an hour. Apparently, DNA was a good Horse Pillow. And a story of a horse manager friend who was so proficient that he could geld stallions in an instant as they ran by.

People are interesting after all.

130713. Mr. Wizard is learning to use a graphics tablet. To this end I have provided him with the GIMP and Inkscape. We may try LibreOffice Draw as well. If one of these programs turns out to be compatible with the graphics tablet, Captured King may return as a full fledged webcomic.

For now, Mr. Wizard offers you a math puzzle for fun and profit. Well, actually, just fun.

Assume that six variables named A1 through A6 contain the digits 1 through 6 in some undetermined order. Determine the order needed to make the following equality true.

A1 + A2 - A3 * A4 / A5 * A6 equals 50

Each digit from 1 to 6 is used exactly once, no more and no less. Perform each mathematical operation in the order shown here, from left to right. For example, 1 + 2 x 3 is treated as (1 + 2) x 3 which equals 9.

Divide by one is not used; in other words, A5 is not equal to one. Additionally, at no point is a decimal or fraction used.

<OldCoder> You will be acquiring one of those for her soon
<Phenek> yes I saw it :)

<OldCoder> What you should do shortly is teach her sign language
<OldCoder> And perhaps, based on what you told me recently, code
<Phenek> maybe

<Phenek> why sign language?

<OldCoder> 1. It is just a thought. 2. It facilitates verbal skills during the stage that follows. 3. It reduces frustration on the infant's part and builds confidence. 4. It is something that many of them take to naturally and enjoy.

<OldCoder> Last week I mentioned to relatives of an infant that a flower looked like such and such in sign language. Half an hour later the infant made the sign by herself. I had not shown her directly.

<OldCoder> I was surprised to observe this
<OldCoder> Infants do reason
<OldCoder> The same infant wanted to go upstairs but the way was blocked by a safety gate
<OldCoder> I remarked, the baby wants to go upstairs

<OldCoder> She looked straight at me and indicated nonverbally, yes, indeed, she did wish to go upstairs; why was the gate stopping her?

<Phenek> alright :)
<OldCoder> What seems natural and useful may be worth the attempt
<OldCoder> Everything that you do at this stage
<OldCoder> is an experiment

130710 Wednesday — Shiing Shen Says

Tags: shen shiing
A full Kiraly Cases tags system will be added in 2013.

130710. Many of the young adults in the startuper world are proficient onion riders. Not to mention pretty much every kid in the new generation.

Shiing Shen has learned quite a bit in the past year. In the end, it will be Shiing Shen and those like him who put an end to the old way of doing things. To what people like the Kiralys are accustomed to doing.

Oh, and to what people like the pretend “old friend” from Las Lomas are accustomed to doing. Hi, “old friend” :D

<ShiingShen> (:ShingShen test:)
<ShiingShen> doesn't work
<OldCoder> (:comment hi there :)
<OldCoder> Like that
<ShiingShen> oh comment
<ShiingShen> that's weird syntax
<OldCoder> But unambiguous :)
<OldCoder> And nice that commands end with a smiley :)

<ShiingShen> I don't like how much trust is involved with onion routing, I kinda wanna come up with a new method of anonymization.
<ShiingShen> one that's less likely to compromise
<OldCoder> Do you have concepts as of yet? Or simply the goal?
<ShiingShen> simply the goal

<OldCoder> How will you proceed? Will you learn the basics of existing procedures or seek to blaze a new trail?
<ShiingShen> I will learn the basics
<ShiingShen> also, there is a lot of stupid people on the internet. I saw this guy who said your ISP can see where you're going when you use tor
<ShiingShen> I'm sure they can

<ShiingShen> 3 layers of AES transfered with the diffie-hellman key exchange
<ShiingShen> between 3 nodes

<OldCoder> Is this a proposal?
<ShiingShen> I just want to come up with a new anonymity protocol
<ShiingShen> everyone says
<ShiingShen> only the exit node can see the cleartext data, but it cannot know where it came from
<ShiingShen> but I thought of a different MITM attack:
<ShiingShen> it involves a bad entry node, instead of exit
<ShiingShen> when you're exchanging the 3 keys

<ShiingShen> instead of going to the middle node you choose, the entry node sends it to a middle node it controls
<ShiingShen> instead of sending the 3rd pub key to the exit node, it does the key exchange with the client
<ShiingShen> so now it has the private key
<ShiingShen> and can decrypt data going to the exit node

<ShiingShen> so then it does its own handshake with the exit node
<ShiingShen> and when it sniffs your data, it sends it to the node
<ShiingShen> and the entry node can send the middle node your IP address, too
<ShiingShen> so now: the middle node has your cleartext data, and your IP address

<OldCoder> I'll need to review this. But helping Blue Dream ATM.
<OldCoder> Do you have a solution to the MITM attack?
<ShiingShen> not that I can think of
<ShiingShen> but that would be a major vulnerability in the onion routing protocol if someone were to implement it

<OldCoder> Then there is more to learn
<OldCoder> Learn and the old approaches you will burn
<OldCoder> You can probably do this, you know; not magic, but find a new approach
<OldCoder> Give yourself time
<OldCoder> Do not stop. When you know that you will not stop, you will gain confidence.

<ShiingShen> there could be a way to detect a bad entry/middle node(s)
<ShiingShen> generate a unique ID
<ShiingShen> and tell the entry node to tell the middle node to request a webpage putting the unique ID
<ShiingShen> and if it's not the IP you wanted, it's a bad relay
<ShiingShen> or something similar

<OldCoder> Detect fraud? Attempts by people to compromise?
<ShiingShen> No, I mean that could thwart the vulnerability of the protocol I stated above
<ShiingShen> in that large wall of text
<ShiingShen> but I don't know if that could risk anonymity

<OldCoder> Do not use the phrase wall of text. It deprecates your efforts. Writing detailed documentation is nothing to be ashamed of.
<OldCoder> If somebody tells you TLDR;
<OldCoder> Feel free to say shove it

<OldCoder> Define “bad” node. How does a unique ID address the issue?
<ShiingShen> by bad, I mean it eavesdrops
<OldCoder> How does the unique ID prevent this?
<OldCoder> Explain it in simple terms
<OldCoder> This is the rule

<ShiingShen> I mean
<ShiingShen> generate the unique ID, that only you and the middle node know
<ShiingShen> so when it adds the unique ID to the list, with its IP
<ShiingShen> you can tell if it's the middle node you requested

<OldCoder> This certifies the identity of the middle node but not its trustworthiness
<OldCoder> Is this correct?
<ShiingShen> yes

<OldCoder> Identity is significant. But does this actually provide much protection?
<OldCoder> This type of routing
<OldCoder> cannot be considered secure
<OldCoder> can it?
<ShiingShen> in theory no

<OldCoder> And in practice?
<ShiingShen> but in reality I don't think there's much nodes out to get you
<OldCoder> “out to get you”
<OldCoder> It is not the “nodes”
<OldCoder> But those outside the system who are interested in the subject
<OldCoder> Do you understand?
<ShiingShen> yes

<OldCoder> Think further
<OldCoder> About new ways to decentralize things
<OldCoder> Beyond the point of no return
<OldCoder> I believe that things must be broken down further
<OldCoder> In the end
<OldCoder> Our thoughts must become atoms in the cloud

<OldCoder> Think about what I have said. The issue is not a random node. The issue is outside the system. Forces outside the system that look for brute force ways to stop the flow of communication.

<OldCoder> This is what you should focus on
<OldCoder> Produce a system that can't be stopped
<OldCoder> People need to communicate
<OldCoder> To speak the truth
<OldCoder> Without fear of the powerful

130710. This is a brief communication that was made to the Santa Clara County Bar Association on Wednesday 130710.

* Santa Clara County Bar Association
31 North Second Street, 4th Floor
San Jose, California 95113
(408) 287-2557

* Chris Burdick, (408) 975-2121. Staff Liaison.

* Angie, Ms. Burdick's assistant, (408) 975-2110.

Hello. Circa July 2nd, Angelina Loyola notified me that a previous message would be forwarded to Christine Burdick upon Ms. Burdick's return from vacation on July 9th. It's likely that Ms. Burdick will be busy catching up with things for a while. However, note that I'm requesting little of the Professionalism Committee at this point other than initial communication and basic information. I assume that this is reasonable and that initial communication will take place promptly.

As a separate issue, I do request contact information for other committees or groups within the Bar Association that may be relevant to or interested in unusual situations. This is in connection with two cases that might be described as odd. Possibly unique.

I look forward to finding out if the cases are unique or if something similar has happened before in the history of Santa Clara County. Ms. Loyola has contact information for me. I am Robert Kiraly.

130709 Tuesday — The House Elf

130709. This is an excerpt from a story in progress by Skittles. John and Tracie: The author is the particular kid that I told you about. Do you remember what I told you? Think about it and you'll understand the full cost of the Kiraly Cases.

Excerpt from THE HOUSE ELF by Skittles

It was a quiet night. I gazed up at the stars like any other child that age, looking for a miracle. Looking for Magic. It was Christmas Eve and I could barely sleep. Tell an 8 year old that he is going to get presents in the morning and see how sleepy he is the night before.

The Christmases before had been usual enough. Dinner with the family, people I had never seen before, and then an early bed time. This year was different. It was the first year that I wasn't with my mom on Christmas. My grandparents had decided to let me stay with them for a while; I had no idea why. All I knew is that tensions between my mom and grandparents were high. My grandparents told me that nothing was going to change. I almost believed them.

The next morning, Christmas morning, my brother woke me up with his laughter and screams. I got out of bed, walked slowly to the top of the steps, and looked down at all the gifts. We had a decently sized tree, about 6 feet tall, decorated with all sorts of old things. It was bright from yellowish white lights wrapped around it. My grandmother always did the decorating and she didn't like colorful lights.

As always, the miniature train-set circled the bottom of the tree. On the back was a tiny figurine that was painted to look like baby Jesus from the Bible. My grandmother was also very religious.

I sat down in an old chair, off to the side a bit. I didn't like a big fuss about things. I just preferred things to be quiet and I liked privacy. As I looked at what Christmas this year had to offer me, I remembered my dad saying that he would buy me that bike.

“He must be coming later then,” I thought. I remember looking at the bike in a store, with him by my side. I knew we were not rich, but it's all I wanted. Back when my mom and I lived in the apartments, we saw kids riding around all day on their new bikes. I was a bit jealous. It looked like so much fun.

But I would give up the bike just to see my dad come; it had been a few months since I'd seen him. The last time we were together was at some building with a lot of people in suits. There was this man in a black robe that we stood in front of, and my parents were talking back and forth to him.

My grandmother looked at me, a bit confused. I guess she was wondering why I had such a stale look on my face. I knew she wanted me to seem happy. I put on a fake smile and ripped open my presents. I wasn't depressed, just didn't feel like smiling much.

Guess I was pretty serious back then. I had realized early on that life was a boring mystery. The stories I read, the movies I watched, and the dreams I had were better. They were about fantasies, magical lands, dragons, and great battles.

This year was more interesting than the last, because it wasn't special. I think I knew that the same thing was going to go on year after year. As it turned out, the only thing that did change much was my height. Even though that didn't happen until years later. I was about the same height from age 8 to age 13. Same hair style, too.

Same walk, same talk, same everything pretty much, except for my knowledge. One thing that will always change is how much you know, and understand.

The day was long and there was some excitement after all. We played with our new toys all day, running throughout the house, and outside occasionally.

We settled all our family affairs before Christmas Day so that we could have the whole day to play without any disruptions. After the day was over, we were tired. We needed our rest so that we could get up the next morning and start over. The excitement of Christmas Day didn't usually wear off until a few days after. Then things were back to normal.

The sun had gone down, the moon had come up, and it was time for bed. I hugged my grandparents and thanked them for the gifts. I had nothing to give them but the hug and gratitude, but it seemed to be enough.

As I lay on my bed, remembering the promise my dad had made to me about the bike, I began to get a little sad. I remembered the times my mother took me to his house, and we played. We would run around all day, through the woods, in the yard, play catch, pretend that goblins surrounded us and that I was attacking them while my dad watched.

I wondered how long I would live with my grandparents, and if I would ever see him again. I had no friends in school, or outside of school either. I needed one. More then I knew at the time.

I crawled out of bed, and got on my knees to pray. “Dear God,” I said. “I know you have more important things to worry about, but can you send me a friend? I changed my mind about the bike, a friend would be better.” After the prayer I hopped into bed, and slowly drifted to sleep.

130709. Updates regarding a couple of threads:

I spoke again with a manager at a steakhouse in Dallas, Texas. The one near where my “old friend” may be located. We discussed whether or not it would make sense for me to offer a cash reward for information. We agreed that the answer is no. There are too many variables involved.

I believe that I need to eat less often. However, people provide food and this should be respected. Today Sita the Magician shared Rajma and Chapati with me.

Carnegie also gave me a health drink that he is trying. The breathing shock issue hit about half an hour later.

130709 Tuesday — Letter to an associate

Tags: general
A full Kiraly Cases tags system will be added in 2013.

130709. This is copied from a personal letter to an associate. There are minor edits for clarity.

I'd sent him a letter about a tuna melt sandwich. He'd written back to say that I might not understand how difficult it is to not work backwards. This is my reply.

I am intrigued by your note which mentions the difficulties involved in not working backwards. The point that it is not natural is correct. But what in the world is the connection of your point to the tuna melt sandwich that I had on Saturday?

If there is no connection to the tuna melt sandwich, please explain. If you are expressing confusion related to your perceptions of me, you should adjust your thinking.

I do not proceed quite as you or others might expect. To put it another way I am not Christ but for reasons of a worldly and mundane nature, neurology, I am most likely closer to Him in a sense than some are.

To the usual person, He is simply a child's toy, an Action Figure to be positioned in convenient ways. Are you so sure that He is more than this to you?

After half a century, note that I was always slow about some things, it is time to not only accept what it means to be the Martian Child but to embrace it.

I do not, for example, assess things the way that animals do. I seek to join packs now but this is the part that is not natural for me.

As a related point, you failed me, but this is not important to me in the context of the larger picture. Are you starting to understand, yourself?

Everything that I have said is a fact is most likely so. Not the points that I have guessed at but the ones that I have asserted. This includes specific details of my intentions. Details that I have made clear from the start.

I have few obligations to you or others because few of you have honored or will honor obligations to me. As I was not perceived as human, or more importantly as a member of the pack, I was treated from the start as a natural resource to be strip mined and discarded.

The child and the adult offered all that he had to give. He gave everything away. But everything was not enough for him to be permitted to exist.

That life is over. The boy who trusted others no matter what they did to him is dead. He was beaten to death as others laughed and they laugh about it still. He lies crumbled in a heap.

The Kiralys would say that he chose to die. Christ will not simply vomit when he encounters them. At the sight of these people, He will evaporate into mist. Christ is within us. They will therefore confront the bare and empty sands of their souls.

I have sworn to do that which is right in the dead boy's name regardless. I am more useful to the downtrodden than you are. I assume that you tithe and are therefore satisfied that you have met obligations. But what is that in a world where the Kiraly Cases are not only possible but the mindset is that they are acceptable?

The answer is that it is a game that you play with yourself. The same game that most people play and you mentioned it in the response concerning the tuna melt sandwich.

Moving on, I can see my own mind now and I know the limits of my thought.

In short I am not like you or others. I do not believe that I was supposed to be here yet. As characters in an anime named Akira said, as they faded out of existence and became part of Time, “Someday, we will be”. But while I am here however briefly I must do what is possible.

Events will proceed as they are part of Time in which we float.

God Is With Us has contacted me after decades. That is his name. Perhaps it is a sign.

Somebody else has contacted me too. Who I believe may have been asked by my biological family to threaten me. I am concerned about the issue. As a related note he or she seems disconcerted that I may have geolocated him or her.

A second cousin is distressed that I have written publicly of the circumstances of her brother's recent death. Russell Kerechanko. There are ironies involved. Russell's father was George Kerechanko, the same George who was going to testify against me... because I reminded him of Russell.

Russell's sister feels that it is impolite of me to speak of family matters in public. She does not perceive the ironies.

I am exhausted. Too tired to type more. But there are miles to go before I may Sleep. Sleep until the end of Time.

Decide for yourself all night what is right in God's sight.
