Introduction
Are you ready to go down the rabbit hole? To visit a surreal world, where black is white and white is carrots?
A friend, Metacognician in Shanghai, describes the situation as follows: “Life is more absurd than movies. I've gone down the rabbit hole too, when it just becomes more and more strange and you wonder how that all is supposed to make sense.” I asked him if I should just embrace it. He answered, “Why should you ... change the universe?”
It started with a psychotic named Jim Kiraly who resides, we think, at 6329 Twinberry Circle, Avila Beach, California.
Jim Kiraly is a respected citizen. A churchgoer. A Vice President of Transamerica Corporation. And a violent abuser who tried to use an emergency anti-violence measure, one intended to protect battered women, to stop his victim in a wheelchair from writing a book.
Concise enough?

For attorneys: Jim Kiraly filed for CLETS against his son and victim, who lived 200 miles away, did not own a car, and was in a wheelchair. His son and victim was not asked to end communications. Jim had no (zero) specific and relevant allegations that were not perjury. But he turned down repeated offers of no-contact and a signed stipulation that gave him everything but CLETS. He insisted on CLETS if his victim ever once “discussed” him with third parties.
In the end, Jim Kiraly signed an agreement far weaker than the ones he'd been offered.
A review of Court paperwork and other materials will tend to
confirm that Jim and other parties, including attorneys on all
sides, committed multiple felonies, crimes, and faux pas.

The word “abuser” is stated here publicly and without equivocation. A formal offer is hereby made to reaffirm the word in writing and under oath. Attorneys will understand the significance of the point. In short, there is little terror of a threatened defamation suit on this side. Actually, we feel that such a suit will fit nicely up Jim Kiraly's abuser ass.
Jim has one son, Ken Kiraly, who invented the Amazon Kindle and is one of the leads at Amazon's secret Lab126. Another son, Tom Kiraly is one of the leads, a Vice President-CFO type, at medical insurance firms, including one of the largest, Humana Corporation.
These people and some of the biggest names in Silicon Valley legal circles have committed or are involved in multiple crimes.
For the next decade or two, we're going to explore the crimes that these people committed, the motivations and the denial involved, the background and histories that led each person to make the choices that they did, and ways to build upon what happened and move towards positive societal goals.
There's plenty to go over. These people committed or were involved in: Spousal abuse, child abuse, DDOS (a highly prosecutable violation of CFAA), extortion, perjury, conspiracy to commit perjury (a possible felony), false police reports, conspiracy to file false police reports (a possible felony), unlawful threats, barratry, defamation, malpractice, civil harassment, criminal harassment, abuse of process, and violations of SCCBA Professional Standards.
The point was to force Jim's oldest son and victim, me, to sign a gag order. I was in a wheelchair. I'd never made a single inappropriate threat against my abuser. I wasn't even asked to not to call anybody. But Jim threatened to put me in a violence database unless I agreed never to write about him.
I won the right to write, but I lost my home of 25 years, most of my possessions, my chances for retirement, everything. Everything but a realization.
I can make a difference. I can conduct research for legitimate and reasonable purposes, document what happened, and analyze the choices of the people involved:
- Jim Kiraly, abuser. Possibly Treasurer at St. Johns Lutheran Church. Vice President of Transamerica Corporation. Also connected to New Life Pismo Church. Involved with Service Core for Retired Executives (SCORE).
- Grace Kiraly, abuse victim and Christ Follower.
- Tom Kiraly, abuse victim, VP or CFO of firms such as Hanger Inc., Humana Corporation, and Sheridan Healthcare.
- Gail Cheda, slightly demented Realtor, spittle flying.
- Ken Kiraly, abuse victim, inventor of the Amazon Kindle, lead at Amazon's secret Lab126, sociopath.
- Tom Stutzman of Thomas Chase Stutzman, a Family Law attorney whose hobbies include martial arts and alleged sexual harassment
- John Perrott of Thomas Chase Stutzman, a personable albeit lazy Family Law attorney who has a slight tendency towards fraud and malpractice
- Chris Burdick, head of the Santa Clara County Bar Association (SCCBA). Chris, you broke a written promise to speak with me because, you said, we had “Prior...” You didn't finish the sentence. Were you worried that I might take false statements to the State Bar? What's the deal with you and Hoge Fenton, anyway? What will we find if we dig?
- Michael Bonetto of Hoge Fenton. Michael, seriously, what are you?
- Alison Buchanan of Hoge Fenton, ethics specialist. Alison, did you contribute to the SCCBA Professional Standards, or was that before your time?
- Tracie Zerr of Thomas Chase Stutzman, a woman of boundless intelligence and sensitivity.
- Maggie Desmond of Hoge Fenton. Maggie, information, please. What is your role in Hoge Fenton's campaign to hush victims of abuse? When the clients that you've protected beat up women, how do you compartmentalize?

121218.2. When I returned home from San Jose, I found that Chaos had been an issue again in IRC. A few observers have suggested that one person in particular, Jerome, might be Chaos. I believe the suggestion is off the mark. Jerome is intelligent, but if what he's told me is true, he's had less experience dealing with people than Chaos seems to have had. But tonight Chaos sent a photo of Jerome to a channel op. I'm told the context was confusing but it didn't seem to be a threatening gesture. It was more of a challenge to solve a puzzle. Jerome reads this blog sometimes. I'm mentioning the incident because I'd like Jerome to know about the photo and to comment if he knows what it's about. |

Tuesday 2012-12-18 — San Jose Attorney Trip

121218.3. Before I left for San Jose, I spoke with Starlight. She said that I looked good today. I replied that she looked good every day. She looked at me in a way that seemed new. The San Jose trip was made to see my attorney Ioannes and his staff. And to take them to lunch. They asked me what I was doing to celebrate Christmas. I told them that it was the lunch. This was the first meal since Saturday 121215 and the last expected until Saturday 121222. A well established rhythm. Two days eating per week for months. The schedule wasn't planned. Things evolved this way. We ate at a Vietnamese Pho place that the others selected. The food was very good. But the point of the meal was to eat with people I knew. Business associates, true, but people who knew me by name and wished to eat with me. The staff, Summer and Liselle, confirmed that I'd continued to lose weight. They noticed some swellings and minor scars. Ioannes, I think, mentioned that the latter issues were probably due to scurvy. We talked about other things, light and serious. I said that a social occasion ought to be light. Ioannes replied that he preferred serious. So we talked a bit about his work and life and about me. I mentioned that Nancy Meyer had come to have lunch with me at Christmas one year ago. Somebody who wasn't a business associate, who ate with me in my city, and who wanted to eat with me. I asked Ioannes to guess when the last such meal had been before that. He guessed six months. I replied that it might have been decades. Perhaps there was another meal of that type more recently. But I don't recall one.
The point, if any, was reflective. Grace and her husband would be quick to say that I must have made “decisions” for things to have turned out this way. This wasn't the case. They'd know what actually happened, of course. 121218.4. After the meal, Ioannes and I discussed the Kiraly cases. He suggested that James Kiraly was experiencing guilt. Guilt that was buried, but present and consequential regardless at the subconscious level. I was startled and said this couldn't be so. In decades I'd rarely seen James show signs of introspection. Few flickers to indicate that remorse or even cognition was possible. The man had always seemed like an automaton to me. Ioannes remained firm about his views. He was an expert on families and things that happened to them. So I had to acknowledge that perhaps he was right.
The thing is, regardless of what happens in the months or years to come, whether it be settlement, a win for me in Long Cause, or a loss and a long-term CLETS, Michael and James will not be free of the truth. 121218.6. I felt tired after the meal but my breathing didn't shift and I didn't pass out. Ioannes said this was because pho has low gluten levels and is easier to digest. Hours later, from 8:00pm to 10:00pm, my breathing did accelerate. But it wasn't as significant as usual. |

that Michael may feel trapped by the situation. He dug a
pit at James's insistence. Now he and James are in the pit and can't
get out.

Tuesday 2012-12-18 — Tell the truth

121218.7. It's been an interesting month. A year that's difficult to understand. A half century that I feel odd about now. A half century where I took responsibility for things that weren't my responsibility. Where being able to see what had happened was a crime in and of itself. And talking about it... being suspected of talking about it was a crime so significant that it needed to be punished with eradication.
Enough. Our lives are brief. And somehow decades are gone. I'm done with fear. I'll do what's right. That isn't difficult. It starts with something simple.
One reader told me the other day that he likes to sing but isn't good at it. He was concerned about what people would think. I told him to sing. I'd say the same thing to those who wish to tell the truth. Who know that some people prefer lies. Tell the truth. |

121216.2. Slept 10:30pm Saturday to 4:30am Sunday. This weekend made it clear I'll need to triage things if I wish to be able to handle the Kiraly cases. On the usual IRC fronts, I taught JavaScript to Eagle, reviewed 'C' source code by Phenek, worked on VPS issues with Mr. Meow, showed Conflict how to produce transparent backgrounds, discussed relationship problems with three people, settled a business issue with Kappelin, and worked with Minetest people on different issues. So far, so good. But an IRC issue I'll call Chaos and Order went too far this weekend. More about that below. |

121216.3. Chaos is an IRC friend who seems to be a true MPD or somebody roleplaying that he is one. Note: This is not his nick. Actually, he's used dozens of different nicks over the past few months. Chaos is the person who I directed the poem OldCoder Explains Himself to in Fall 2012. At the same time, he's probably a second person who gave me the first draft of the Watercodia story and, I believe, a third person who gave me artwork and a brief positive essay about me. It should be mentioned that each of these three people also gave me a virtual world that demonstrated patience and skill. His other identities produce artwork as well. Somebody I believe may be the same person told me he did the banner at this link. Note: The image is distributed under this license: CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 Unported. He also seems quite skilled at some technical issues. So skilled that Metacognician and I speculated, though not seriously, that he might be an AI. In short, Chaos is both creative and skilled, and has tried to be a friend to me. To clarify the origin of the Watercodia story, I wrote much of the story but it follows Chaos's draft. The characters are largely his and three of them represent his different selves. The character of Mr. Shark represents his best-known identity. As a note to HedgeMage, Myrddin, and Kappelin, the Mr. Shark identity is the one that your friends would know about. There is some irony in the Chaos situation. If I remember correctly, after 2008, Grace Kiraly started to believe that I was MPD because my creative side returned that year decades after events that she'd prefer not to remember. But my two sides are prosaic though distinct at times: Speech and Writing. I was afraid of Chaos at the time of the OldCoder Explains Himself incident. But I learned subsequently what he was; somebody who'd created multiple identities, including identities that were friends of mine. No longer afraid after that. During the three days that started on Friday 121214, Chaos got out of hand. Some of the people reading this know what I'm referring to. On Sunday 121216 I gave up on trying to deal with the situation myself. I turned things over to three people that I selected. My feeling was that the matter should be handled carefully and I tried to make this clear. |
